CORBIN — Lauren Partin’s 31-point scoring effort played a huge role in Lynn Camp’s 82-33 win over visiting Somerset Christian on Thursday.
Partin scored 15 points in the first quarter, and two points in the second quarter before adding 14 points in the third quarter.
Both Isabella Fox and Destiney Chancelor added 11 points apiece while Cambree Prewitt finished with eight points in the win.
“Our girls played really good team ball this evening,” Lynn Camp coach James Prewitt said. “They were unselfish and had a lot of fun. Nine girls scored and all 13 got to play significant time. I can’t say enough about their heart and determination. We are coming together as a team and learning to really play as a unit.
“I can’t say enough about Coach Abbott and his girls,” he added. “They came and played, but they had two out sick. They have one of the best young guards in Southern Kentucky. The Waddell girl is a seventh grader and she is already really good. We travel to OBI tomorrow evening where we will be looking to keep up the momentum. Then we don’t play again until after Christmas. We have a lot to work on over the break and I look forward to the opportunity to improve.”
The win improved the Lady Wildcats to 2-3.
