Lady Redhounds keep WYMT Mountain Classic 3-peat chances alive with blowout win over Perry Central 

HAZARD — Corbin kept its hopes of a 3-peat as the WYMT Mountain Classic champion alive by rolling past host Perry Central, 76-41.

The Lady Redhounds (4-0) became the third team from the 13th Region to punch their ticket into Saturday’s semifinal action, joining North Laurel, Knox Central and 14th Region’s Knott Central.

Both teams scored 15 points apiece in the first quarter before Corbin began to take control of the contest.

Five points from Lydia King in the second quarter combined with Kylie Clem adding four points allowed the Lady Redhounds to take a 29-22 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Clem and Raegan Walker caught fire in the third quarter, scoring eight points apiece while Sayde Mobley added four points, as Corbin built a 54-34 cushion entering the fourth quarter.

Addy Wilson knocked down three 3-pointers, scoring nine of her 12 points in the fourth quarter as the Lady Redhounds secured a 35-point win.

Clem and Walker led Corbin with 18 points apiece while King and Wilson finished with 12 points apiece.
