MIDDLESBORO — Sally Adams’ Middlesboro Lady Yellow Jackets are heading in the right direction.
Middlesboro is now 3-1 and captured a huge 52nd District win by defeating Bell County, 53-48, for the first time since Feb. 1, 2019 while snapping a 14-game losing skid to the Lady Bobcats.
The game was close throughout but the Lady Yellow Jackets settled in and pulled off the win.
Freshman Emily Lambert led the way with 17 points while Keevi Betts scored 16 points and Millie Roberts finished with 13 points.
Kairi Lamb led Bell County with 18 points, 18 rebounds, and four blocked shots.Lauren KcGeorge added 16 points while Nevaeh Allen chipped in 10 points.
