Red-hot Yellow Jackets improve to 6-0 with 88-26 win over Lynn Camp 

WILLIAMSBURG — Anthony Hibbard’s Williamsburg Yellow Jackets continued its impressive play on Friday with an 88-26 win over Lynn Camp.

The Yellow Jackets built leads of 22-9 and 50-17 in the first and second quarters, respectively, before cruising to an easy 62-point win.

Cooper Prewitt led Williamsburg with 14 points while Conner Saylor followed with 12 points. Nate Goodin and Peyton Hamilton chipped in 10 points apiece while Chase Meddles added nine points. Andrew Smith and Jacob Taylor scored six points apiece.

Jared King led Lynn Camp (0-6) with 10 points.

“We feel really good about our performance tonight,” Hibbard said. “After a tough three-game stretch, we feared that our guys may come out sluggish. So, our goal was to come out of the gate fast and we were able to jump out and gap them early. 

“Just impressed how we shared the ball tonight,” he added. “We say the ball gives energy. We shared it well and shot it well. We feel like we are getting better with every bounce and every possession. I hope we stay the course and continue to trend in that direction.”
