Ryder Akins had the hot hand, scoring 24 points while hitting 7-of-10 shot attempts from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter as Pietrowski’s squad pulled away.

“We beat a really good basketball team this evening,” Pietrowski said. “Proud of our kids for their effort and execution. True team win for our guys. At various times different guys made winning plays for us.

“Thought Eli had some really good stretches on the boards and scoring it for us,” he added. “As the season gets deeper, he will only improve. Zach, Dawson and Lucas do a ton of little things that help us win. Ryder and Middleton really shined today as well. We had three really good days of practice. The sky is the limit for this team. Our potential is really high.”

As a team, the Redhounds knocked down 15-of-20 free throw attempts during the game’s final eight minutes.

Eli Pietrowski scored 18 points while Conner Middleton added 15 points. Zach Reynolds and Lucas Brittain finished with seven points apiece.
