For the first time in 12 years, the Pineville Mountain Lions have started the season with a perfect 5-0 mark.
Allen Harris’ squad traveled north on I-75, and handed Berea a 36-29 loss.
“Timmy Hall had a few big runs for us and a touchdown, Landon Robbins hit pay dirt three times, and Evan Biliter had two touchdowns,” Harris said. “We were 0-6 on two point conversations. We made a lot of mistakes on both sides of the ball. We probably played as bad as you can play and come away with a win.
“We had a few key injuries that limited us on both sides of ball,” he added. “We are fortunate to get away with a win tonight. We will go back to work on Monday and use our bye week to improve our mistakes and prepare for Jackson.”
The Mountain Lions will have the upcoming week off before hosting Jackson County on Friday, Sept. 30.
