MANCHESTER — A 22-point scoring effort from Ethan Chafin combined with 16 points from Jared King played a huge role in Lynn Camp’s first win of the season.
The Wildcats went on the road, defeating Red Bird on Tuesday with a 56-42 decision.
Lynn Camp is now 1-6 while the Cardinals fell to 0-6.
Dinky Phipps’ squad led 15-12 at the end of the first quarter with both Chafin and King scoring five points apiece. Caleb Wilburn added three points during the period.
The Wildcats held a slim 24-23 advantage at halftime as King added six points and Elijah Mayo hit a 3-pointer.
Lynn Camp pulled away in the second half, building a 41-33 lead entering the fourth quarter as Chafin scored 10 points during the third quarter.
The Wildcats outscored Red Bird, 15-9, during the final eight minutes while pulling out the 14-point victory.
