MANCHESTER — Jacob Rogers came up huge, scoring 25 points, pulling down four rebounds and dishing out three assists to lead Oneida Baptist over Jackson County on Tuesday, 51-48.
The win improved the Mountaineers to 4-3 while evening their 49th District record at 2-1.
The Generals fall to 3-3 overall and 0-1 against 49th District opponents.
Dennis Esemuede had 10 points, and eight rebounds for Oneida Baptist while Tommy Branstutter finished with eight points and seven rebounds.
“Really proud of our young men for tonight’s hard fought district win,” Oneida Baptist coach Larry Gritton said. “It was a defensive battle and we made just enough plays down the stretch to win against a well coached team. Greg Parrett is a fine man and coach and Jackson County is blessed to have him leading their program.”
