HYDEN — A 19-point scoring effort from Grayson Burton, combined with Hayden Melton’s 14 points and seven rebounds, played a big role in Knox Central’s 86-41 blowout win over Owsley County in first round action of the Citizen’s Bank Classic.
Christian Bargo added nine points and eight rebounds while Evan Hubbard scored 10 points. Transfer Tydus Summers turned in a 13-point, four-rebound and three-assist effort.
“Great team effort tonight,” Knox Central coach Mitchell Madden said. “We rotated 10 kids all night long, they all played hard and together getting up and down the court. We had great ball pressure and help side rotation tonight and that’s been our weakness, so hopefully we are figuring it out.”
