The ‘Q’ for the Day: Who had the most impressive win in Week Five, Corbin or Harlan County?

And just like that, we are halfway through the regular season of football action here in the 13th Region.

Let’s start off in London as North Laurel stayed red-hot and continued to impress.

After being down 7-0 at halftime, the Jaguars flipped a switch offensively in the second half getting the 29-7 win.

North Laurel will take on crosstown rival South Laurel Thursday night.

Now let’s head over to Somerset as Corbin stayed unbeaten after winning on the road in dominating fashion against a good Somerset football team.

On over to Log Mountain, the Bobcats won their second consecutive game, this time by beating Whitley County 38-28.

Since the loss to Knox Central earlier this season, Bell County has been playing very solid football. Knox Central has now suffered back-to-back loses this time to the hands of Paintsville.

Steve Partin’s five touchdowns weren’t enough to overcome the deficit as the Panthers fell on the road 35-30.

Talk about a team that is hitting stride — the Black Bears of Harlan County continued their winning ways after defeating Pike Central, 58-21.

Harlan County dominated the run game once again.

Jonah Swanner, who rallied six TDs on Friday, will sit down with myself and Mark Gregory tonight on “In The Huddle” presented by Huddle House, and talk about his impressive effort.

Lynn Camp ended its losing skid this week after defeating Jackson County, 8-6.

Maybe this is what the Wildcats needed to boost their confidence a little bit.

And last but definitely not least, our Tim Short Auto Mall Game Of The Week, Middlesboro got an impressive win at home against Harlan handing them their first loss of the season.

The Yellow Jackets were lead by quarterback Cayden Grigsby who you can see tonight on “In The Huddle” presented by Huddle House. Grigsby got the job with both his arms and his legs and he got excellent protection from his offensive line. Also give credit to the Middlesboro defense for stepping up late in the game. The Yellow Jackets got the win, 21-20. That’s all for this week stay tuned for next week as we will recap Week Six.
