Twelve Lady Redhounds score in Corbin’s 92-31 rout of Caverna

CORBIN — Corbin tipped-off its very own Christmas Bash Invitational in a fine way, defeating Caverna on Friday, 92-31.

The Lady Redhounds (5-1) scored early and often, cruising to the 61-point win.

Twelve players scored for Corbin with Kylie Clem’s 15 points leading the way while Addy Wilson scored 14 points. Kalley Stewart added 13 points while Raegan Walker and Lydia King scored 11 points apiece.

“It was a good start for us tonight to kick off the Christmas bash,” Corbin coach Isaac Wilson said. “We were able to play everybody and get some kids some valuable minutes that I think will help us down the road. It’s hard to put a number or to explain how valuable just getting game experience is for some kids, especially the younger ones and so it’s always exciting when you’re able to get some young kids some minutes in a varsity game.

“Tomorrow will be a real test for our basketball team as we will have two games in the same day against solid opponents,” he added. “We must be ready to step up to the challenge to ensure we give ourselves the best chance at coming out with some victories.”
