We can all officially say goodbye to Week 5. All we have is the sweet memories of the autumn air, smell of popcorn, and us doing what we love, watching football!
What a week it was though.
My pick’ems this year has been about as bad as my dancing skills, that shows you how bad it’s been. At least I have Facebook and Twitter showing me the way. This week both social media sites only lost one game.
It would had been a clean sweep if Knox Central could have pulled out a close one against Paintsville.
The Corbin/Somerset game received the most votes on Facebook with 61 while Twitter had 29. Now for the season, out of a possible 49 games for the year, Twitter still leads 43-41.
Keep voting folks, but what a week it was. According to our voters the Knox Central/ Paintsville game was an upset. I thought it would be close, and it was, but Paintsville is better than I had thought.
Knox Central received 78 percent of the Facebook vote, and Twitter voted 87 percent in favor for Knox Central.
Bell County held on for a hardfought win while Lynn Camp gets win No. 2, and North Laurel was a, “Tale of two halves.”
