GATLINBURG — North Laurel exited the Smoky Mountain Christmas Classic with an impressive, 43-29, win over Florida’s Santa Fe High School on Saturday while finishing with a 2-1 record during the process.
The Jaguars (7-2) held their own during their stay in the tournament and will look to continue their success next week in the WGM Holiday Tournament.
The game was close throughout with North Laurel leading throughout the contest.
The Jaguars held a 14-9 lead at the end of the first quarter as Kole Jervis scored all seven of his points during the period. Their lead grew to 24-17 behind two 3-pointers from Jordan Rawlings.
North Laurel saw its lead trimmed to 35-31 entering the fourth quarter before Reece Davidson scored all eight of the Jaguars’ points in the final eight minutes to secure the win for his team.
Davidson led all scorers with 16 points while Rawlings hit three 3-pointers, finishing with nine points.
