Partin delivers 25-point, 16-rebound effort as Lynn Camp wins third game in a row

HAZARD — Lynn Camp showed signs of rustiness after a two-week layoff but still managed to win its third game in a row while improving to 4-3 thanks to a 52-47 win over Buckhorn.
Lauren Partin turned in a double-double effort, scoring 25 points while pulling down 16 rebounds in the win. Cambree Prewitt finished with nine boards while Madison Weymers finished with nine points and nine rebounds, and Lillian Henize finished with 10 points and four rebounds.
“We played really sluggish this afternoon,” Lynn Camp coach James Prewitt said. “We haven’t played in a couple weeks and it showed, but I am really proud of my girls and their fight. We went down by eight early and battled back to win. I can’t take anything away from Buckhorn, they play really hard and have excellent guard play.
“Lillian Henize stepped up big and really led the team,” he added. “Lauren Partin delivered another great rebounding and shooting game. Madison Weymers also made some huge contributions offensively and defensively. Cambree Prewitt had a really good rebounding game. There were several others that gave us valuable minutes.”
