WILLIAMSBURG — Whitley County ran its win streak to three games after recording an impressive 68-45 win over Todd County Central during Friday’s BSN Borderline Classic.
The Colonels (9-2) led from the get-go, building a 12-6 advantage in the first quarter while using an 18-4 run in the second quarter to pull away.
“Good start to our tourney,” Whitley County coach Eric Swords said. “We didn’t have a great flow offensively in the first half but got better as we went, our defense was real good early. Good game for us coming for us coming out of our break. Need a strong finish the next two days.”
Whitley County took a 56-36 advantage into the fourth quarter before outscoring Todd County Central, 12-9, during the final eight minutes.
Riley Fuson led the Colonels with 26 points while hitting three 3-pointers. Bryson Mahan added 17 points while Aaron Rowe scored eight points, and Dee Parker chipped in seven points.
