SOMERSET — Another close game?
No problem.
For the second consecutive day, Isaac Wilson’s Corbin Lady Redhounds found a way to win in a close contest, sliding past Tates Creek with a 64-61 decision.
Led by Kylie Clem’s 24 points, Lydia King had 19 points, and Raegan Walker’s 15 points, Corbin improved to 10-1 with the win.
“What else can I say other than we are finding ways to win basketball games in tight situations,” Wilson said. “I’m proud of this basketball team for continuing to dig even when things are hard and quite frankly ugly at times.
“Basketball over Christmas break is always a roller coaster ride and we have been the definition of that in our last two games,” he added. “We have continued to trust each other in tough and difficult situations and that is going to do nothing but pay off for us down the road. We are now entering a big stretch in our schedule and we have got to get better each day as the two a tournament along with district play begins in January.”
