Pineville and Oneida Baptist hooked up in a classic with the Mountain Lions coming from behind to defeat the Mountaineers, 57-50.
Dennis Esemuede led Oneida Baptist in scoring with 12 points.
“Proud of the way our kids battled,” Oneida Baptist coach Larry Gritton said. “We ultimately didn’t make enough shots to win the game. Credit to Pineville for the plays they made down the stretch to win the game. Sawyer Thompson is a fantastic player and was the difference in the fourth quarter. We will get some good practice time next week and gear up for our All ‘A’ Regional Tournament.”
