Melton records double-double during Knox Central’s 96-67 win

Knox Central hit the 90-point plateau for the second time this season during its 96-67 win over Tennessee’s William Blount High School.

Grayson Burton continued his impressive play, scoring 21 points while pulling down nine rebounds. Hayden Melton dominated as well, finishing with 16 points, and 15 rebounds. Nathan Dunn finished with 16 points and seven rebounds.

“Very proud of my kids,” Knox Central coach Mitchell Madden said. “We finished out the tournament with a 2-1 record, playing great competition. Today was total team effort from start to finish. Every kid played with great intensity. We played very unselfish ball pushing the tempo, we had five guys finish in double figures scoring.”
