Redhounds record bounce-back win with 70-49 victory over Somerset

CORBIN — Tony Pietrowski’s Corbin Redhounds responded in a big way in the third place game of Monday’s Grace Health Cumberland Falls Invitational.
After falling to Ohio’s Little Miami, Corbin dominated Somerset, recording a 70-49 win in the process.
Four Redhounds scored in double figures with Ryder Akins, and Connor Middleton leading the way with 13 points apiece while Dawson Farmer and Eli Pietrowski added 12 points apiece.
“Happy with the way we bounced back today,” Pietrowski said. “We played with a lot of effort, shared the ball and had good balance offensively.
“We have really worked hard the last few weeks and I have seen a good amount of growth in needed areas,” he added. “Need to finish our break off with a stretch of good practices. We have some really good challenges ahead of us.”
