Five Panthers reach double figures in scoring during 91-61 rout of Madison Southern

LONDON — Knox Central continues to fly under the radar while rolling to another win, this time defeating Madison Southern during the Raymond Reed Classic on Friday, 91-61.

The Panthers (10-2) scored early and often as Freshman Grayson Burton continues to dominate, scoring 29 points while freshman Hayden Melton had 11 points, and 16 rebounds. Evan Hubbard added 14 points, Tydus Summers finished with 13 points while Nathan Dunn finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.

“We played a very unselfish game,” Knox Central coach Mitchell Madden said. “We had five kids hit double figures again. I think our rebounding changed the game. We gave up a few offensive boards first half and were up l, 34-30. We came out in the third and hit seven 3s that pushed the lead out. We grabbed 26 rebounds in the second half after only having 12 in the first half. Very proud of my team’s effort.”
