BEREA — With only eight available players to suit up on Friday, James Prewitt’s Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats struggled to get a win.
Despite having junior Lauren Partin score a game-high 27 points while hitting 15-of-16 free throw attempts, the Lady Wildcats dropped a disappointing, 71-43, decision to the Lady Pirates.
The loss dropped Lynn Camp to 4-5. The Lady Wildcats are scheduled to be back in action Tuesday on the road against Clay County.
“Tonight was a tough night,” Prewitt said. “We only had eight players who could play. We are dealing with a lot of sickness and some injuries. I don’t want to take anything away from Berea. They definitely wanted it more than we did and the score shows it. We have a lot to work on, and of course, getting healthy will help us too.”
Berea took control of the game from the tip-off, leading 16-7 at the end of the first quarter, and 38-18, at halftime. Berea led 54-31 entering the fourth quarter.
