WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg dropped its fourth game in a row, falling under .500 for the first time this season at 5-6.
The Lady Yellow Jackets played their first home game since Dec. 10, but couldn’t come away with the win, falling to Clinton County, 71-46.
Another slow start led to Williamsburg’s loss.
The Lady Yellow Jackets fell behind 26-8 in the first quarter before trailing 43-21 at halftime.
Melissia Douglas’ squad trailed 56-31 before both teams scored 15 points apiece in the final eight minutes.
Presley Spicer led Williamsburg with 14 points while Braylee Evans added 11 points, and Hannah Creekmore scored nine points.
The Lady Yellow Jackets will be back in action Saturday in first round action of the 13th Rwgion All ‘A’ Classic Region Tournament. They will travel to play Middlesboro.
