Corbin uses 29-7 third quarter run to knock off Bell County 

CORBIN — A 22-point scoring effort by Kylie Clem combined with 12 points from Lydia King and 11 points from Raegan Walker highlighted Corbin’s 83-57 win over Bell County during semifinal action of the Kentucky 2A, Section 7 Tournament.

Eleven players scored overall for Isaac Wilson’s squad as the Lady Redhounds improved to 10-2.

“Good team win for our girls tonight,” Wilson said. “We are happy to advance and look forward to competing tomorrow with a chance to go to the finals of our 2A region. It’s tough some times to handle the messed up schedule due to weather, but I thought we handled it well and were prepared to battle tonight.”

Bell County hung close in the first half, trailing 20-16 at the end of the first quarter and 39-30 at halftime,

But Corbin used a 29-7 run in the third quarter that put the game away.

Clem caught fire during the period, scoring 13 points while hitting two 3-pointers. King added six points during the quarter while Kalley Stewart added four points.

Kairi Lamb led the Lady Bobcats with a game-high 28 points while Lauren McGeorge added 10 points.
