MCKEE — North Laurel kept its perfect record intact at 13-0 with an easy 68-24 win over Jackson County on Friday.
The win almost moved the Lady Jaguars’ win streak against 49th District opponents to an impressive 50 games, and 2-0 on the season.

“It always feels good to get another district win,” North Laurel coach Eddie Mahan said. “Abby Gilbert is a tough matchup for any team. We knew we would have to focus on executing our game plan to be successful.
“I was worried going in that we could overlook Jackson County with such a big game tomorrow,” he added. “We fortunately stayed mentally locked in and shot the ball well tonight.”
North Laurel’s lead grew to 37-12 at halftime, and 52-14 entering the fourth quarter before preserving the win.
Abby Gilbert led the Lady Generals (9-8, 0-1) with 12 points.
