Jaguars snap four-game losing skid, hand Jackson County, 87-44, loss 

MCKEE — North Laurel turned in one of its best efforts of the season while improving to 3-1 in 49 District during the process on Friday.

The Jaguars (9-6) hit the road, and handed Jackson County an 87-44 loss.

North Laurel knocked down three 3-pointers in the first quarter while running by out to a 23-14 lead, and never looking back.

The Jaguars received a 19-point scoring effort from Reece Davidson while RJ Noble added 14 points. Cooper Elza also scored 14 points while Jordan Rawlings finished with 13 points.

“That was a really good game for us following a tough stretch of games,” North Laurel coach Nate Valentine said. “I thought our effort and enthusiasm were top notch. We had really good scoring balance tonight and moved the ball very well with 18 assists and four turnovers. We have a quick turnaround versus a really good Pineville team tomorrow.”

Keagan Ward led the Generals with 18 points while Jackson County fell to 6-9 overall, and 0-2 in 49th District play.
