PINEVILLE — David Teague’s Bell County Lady Bobcats picked up an important 52nd District win on Tuesday, outlasting Harlan, 68-63.
The win improved the Lady Bobcats to 12-4 overall while improving to 2-1 in district play. The Lady Green Dragons fall to 9-10 overall and 1-2 against 52nd District teams.
“Was a hard fought ballgame, both teams battled for four quarters,” Bell County coach David Teague said. “Proud of my kids for making enough plays down the stretch to be able to get a win.”
The game was close throughout with Bell County holding a slim 31-28 advantage at halftime.
The Lady Bobcats did just enough to hold on and pick up the five-point victory.
Lauren McGeorge led Bell County with 25 points while Kairi Lamb finished with 22 points. Gracie Barton followed with nine points and 11 rebounds.
Aymanni Wynn led Harlan with 24 points while Kylie Noe scored 18 points and Peyshaunce Wynn finished with 13 points.
