LEXINGTON — The more things change, the more they stay the same.
That’s the theme of the KHSAA 13th Region Girls’ RPI for this week.
North Laurel comes in at the top spot and still hasn’t lost. The Lady Jaguars are ranked No. 3 in the state and possess a 15-0 overall record along with a 4-0 mark against 13th Region teams. Their RPI rating stands at .74115 after beating two teams in the top 15 during their past two games.
Isaac Wilson’s Corbin Lady Redhounds (13-4 overall, 7-2 vs. regional opponents) are ranked No. 2 and possess a .63852 rating.
South Laurel (11-4, 5-0) comes in at No. 3 with a .62375 rating. The Lady Cardinals and North Laurel are the only teams that are unbeaten against 13th Region competition.
Knox Central (11-4, 6-2) enters at the No. 4 spot with a .62187 rating while Bell County (12-4, 5-2) rounds out the top five with a .61210 rating.
Whitley County (11-6, 3-3) is ranked sixth with a rating of .56992 while red-hot Middlesboro (10-4, 5-3) enters at No. 7 with a .56710 rating.
Jackson County (9-8, 1-6) has struggled as of late and is ranked eighth with a rating of .55278 while up and coming Clay County (11-7, 5-4) is moving up to the nine spot with a rating of .53248. Pineville holds on to the No. 10 position with an RPI rating of .51905.
