CORBIN — Lynn Camp improved to 3-15 after picking up its third win over Red Bird this season on Thursday.
The Wildcats caught fire in the first quarter, and never looked back in their 71-40 win over the Cardinals.
Dinky Phipps’ squad was red hot to begin the game, knocking down five 3-pointers to build a 23-9 lead.
Ethan Chaffin scored nine points in the first eight minutes while connecting with a 3-pointer. Eisen Mayo hit two 3-pointers during the period while Caleb Woods, and Jared King did as well.
Woods added two more 3-pointers in the second quarter, scoring eight points, helping Lynn Camp’s cushion to grow to 44-18 at halftime.
The Wildcats held a 58-31 advantage entering the fourth quarter after hitting 7-of-13 free throw attempts during the period.
Cason Mills and Chaffin added a 3-pointer apiece, allowing Lynn Camp to cruise to an easy 31-point win in the fourth quarter.
Chaffin led the Wildcats with 22 points while Woods and King finished with 11 points apiece.
Trever Osborne led Red Bird (0-14) with 15 points while Daughson Whitehead added nine points.
