Wildcats capture consecutive wins for the first time this season 

HAZARD — for the first time this season, Dinky Phipps’ Lynn Camp Wildcats have won back to back games.

The Wildcats went on the road and handed Cordia a 69-60 win on Friday.

Ethan Chaffin turned in a team-best 22-point scoring effort for the second consecutive game to lead Lynn Camp while Jared King added 14 points, and Conner Mabe finished with 10 points.

The Wildcats caught fire early, taking a 23-15 lead in the first quarter as Chaffin scored 11 points while Ethan Curry and Caleb Woods each hit a 3-pointer apiece.

Lynn Camp led 36-27 at halftime as Curry and Woods connected with one 3-pointer apiece once again.

Chaffin added five points while Caleb Wilburn scored four points in the third quarter to give their team a 51-40 lead entering the fourth quarter.

Lynn Camp held on in the final eight minutes, improving to 4-15.
