Williamsburg gets back to its winning ways with 67-36 victory

OLIVER SPRINGS, TENN. — Williamsburg snapped its four-game win streak while getting back to its winning ways with a 67-36 win over Tennessee’s Mount Pisgah Christian Academy.

Cooper Prewitt led Williamsburg (12-5) with 20 points while Nate Goodin added 10 points. Lakin Cunagin and Jacob Taylor scored nine points apiece.

“Feels good to get back in the win column,”  Proud of our guys, tonight,” Williamsburg coach Nate Hibbard said. “The past two weeks has not been easy for us, but I feel like we have made strides in the right direction. We responded well tonight, especially considering we were missing one of our strongest contributors, Andrew Smith.

“While this win is certainly a positive sign, we know the work is not done,” he added. “We must continue to push forward, learn from every game, and build on the momentum we have gained. The focus remains on staying consistent and improving every week. Proud of the effort tonight, but the journey continues.”
