BARBOURVILLE — Knox Central picked up a key 51st District win on Friday, outlasting Barbourville, 66-51.
Grayson Burton had 21 points, seven rebounds, and five assists while Tydus Summers finished with 14 points. Hayden Melton scored eight points and pulled down seven rebounds while Jaxon Bargo and Nathan Dunn finished with eight points apiece.
“Great district win for my team,” Knox Central coach Mitchell Madden said. “The atmosphere was crazy with a gym packed out both sides & the teams played their hardest. This was a great game to be part of. Very proud of my team for their attitudes and efforts. We’ve got to tweak some little things but got a huge win. Hats off to Coach Taylor and his team they were well prepared and played a great game.”
