WILLIAMSBURG — Whitley County’s improved to 13-6 after handing Harlan County a 58-44 loss on Saturday.
Khylea Ray Collier poured in 23 points while Maddy Hopkins added 12 points in the win. Aubree Clemens finished with nine points while Jonna Ruce added six points.
“Team played really good tonight,” Whitley County coach Michael Petrey said. “We battled foul trouble in the first half and everyone we put on the floor played as they should. Our ball movement tonight was the best it has been all season.
“KR shot it well tonight and everyone did a great job finding her,” he added. “We were good defensively as well. We had a really good practice yesterday and it carried over to tonight. I’m proud of this team and excited to see them continue to come together.”
