Jaguars pick up big road win over Boyle County

DANVILLE — The duo of Reece Davidson and RJ Noble continue to impress, combining to score 39 points to lead North Laurel past Boyle County, 61-58, on Tuesday.
The Jaguars have now won five games in a row, and will head into their Feb. 2 battle with Trinity garnering a 13-7 record.
Davidson led North Laurel with 21 points while Noble added 18. Jordan Rawlings added 10 points and hit two 3-pointers.
“Tonight was a really good win,” North Laurel coach Nate Valentine said. “Any time you can win out of region on the road it’s a good win! We found a way to finish at the end. Really happy for our guys tonight.”
The game was close throughout with the Jaguars holding leads of 16-11 and 29-22 at the end of the first and second quarters, respectively.
Boyle County cut its deficit to 47-40 entering the fourth quarter while North Laurel held off one final rally to secure the win.
