Bell County gets payback with 30-point win over Middlesboro 

PINEVILLE — Bell County got payback in a big way over Middlesboro on Friday.

After dropping a 53-48 decision to the Lady Yellow Jackets back in December, the Lady Bobcats returned the favor with a 62-32 win.

Bell county improved to 15-5 with the win while Middlesboro has lost three straight and is now 10-8.

“Good district win for our team,” Bell County coach David Teague said. “I thought we came out very focused and played with a lot of energy. Our defensive effort was extremely good. Proud of our girls and the way they executed the game plan on both ends of the floor.”

Lauren McGeorge led the Lady Bobcats with 24 points while Kairi Lamb added 16 points. Gracie Barton added nine points while Nevaeh Allen finished with eight points.

Emily Lambert led the Lady Yellow Jackets with 11 points while Addison Lucas finished with six points. Keevi Betts and Millie Roberts scored five points apiece.
