With only five regular season matches remaining, Pineville continues to get better.
The Lady Mountain Lions won their second game in a row on Thursday, knocking of Lynn Camp in three sets.
The win improved Pineville to 8-11 overall, and 3-1 vs. 51st District competition. The Lady Wildcats fell to 0-13 overall, and 0-6 against 51st District foes.
“Loved being able to get some of my younger girls in tonight,” Pineville coach Samantha North said. “Lynn Camp gets better every time I watch them play, so we knew coming in we needed to play well, and play offense rather than giving them opportunities with free balls.
“We also only had three or four service errors which was a big win for us. We have a big week coming up so it’s great to get some momentum.”
The Lady Mountain Lions won the first two sets by identical 25-8 scores, respectively, while capturing the third set, 25-11.
Pineville will be back in action Monday on the road against Red Bird while Lynn Camp will travel to play Harlan County on Thursday, Sept. 29.
