Corbin drops season-opener with 7-1 loss to Perry Central 

CORBIN — Crystal Stidham’s Corbin Lady Redhounds’ season-opener didn’t go as planned on Friday.

The Lady Redhounds fell behind 5-0 before pushing their first run across home plate in the sixth inning as Perry Central cruised to a 7-1 win.

Corbin was out-hit 10-5 in the loss.

Alana Stidham led the Lady Redhounds (0-1) with a 2-for-2 effort while Raegan Walker had a hit and drove in a run. Anela Sanders and Morgan Hicks both finished with a hit apiece.

Danni Foley took the loss, lasting five innings while allowing eight hits and two earned runs. She struck out eight batters. Apple Terrell pitched two innings, allowing two hits and two earned runs.
