Two errors lead to four unearned earns during Corbin’s 7-2 setback to Henry Clay

CORBIN — Crystal Stidham’s Corbin Lady Redhounds dropped their third game in a row, falling to 3-4 on Monday with a 7-2 loss to Henry Clay.

The Lady Redhounds struggled at the plate again, managing only five hits while committing two errors in the field that led to four unearned runs.

The Lady Blue Devils broke open a one-all tie in the third inning with a run before pushing across another run to make the score, 3-1, after four innings of play. Henry Clay put the game away with three runs in the fifth inning before adding an insurance run in the sixth inning.

Anela Sanders turned in a perfect day at the plate for Corbin, going 3-for-3 with an RBI while Raegan Walker had a hit and a run scored. Lydia King finished with a hit while Kaili Sanders drove in a run.

Danni Foley took the loss in the circle, allowing 11 hits and three earned runs. She struck out 10 batters. Apple Terrell pitched the final 1.1 innings, allowing no hits or no runs while striking out a batter.
