Picking games is fun, we all agree with that. When a coach makes a bad call, we say, “What a terrible call!”, and 90% of us would have probably done the same thing, but we didn’t make the call, so now we say, “There is no chance I would have done that, that is a horrible call!”
That leads me to our pick’ems, we have picked our choices and have to live with it, no hiding. Facebook and Twitter have been nearly perfect on their picks, which is much better than me. Let’s look and see how these two heavyweights are doing. Facebook missed on three games this week Lynn Camp/Cumberland Gap, Williamsburg/Somerset, and Harlan Co./Clay Co. The Whitley Co./Pulaski Co. game received 159 votes. Twitter missed on two games this week Williamsburg/Somerset, and the HarlanCo./Clay Co. games. The North Laurel/South Laurel game received 31 votes. Out of a possible 58 games, Twitter has picked 50 right, and Facebook has picked 47. We had a special treat with games on Thursday and Friday this past week. Games kicked off Thursday with cross town rivals North Laurel and South Laurel playing with North Laurel coming out on the winning side of the game. Up next we had Clay County taking care of business against a red hot Harlan County team.
