GAINING MOMENTUM: Lady Jaguars win second in a row, four players score during 4-1 win

North Laurel’s Jessica Miller wanted her team to go into postseason play riding some positive momentum, and they’re going to do just that.

The Lady Jaguars capped off a perfect week by defeating Letcher Central, 4-1, at home on Thursday.

“It’s been a really good for us and tonight was a great game as well,” North Laurel coach Jessica Miller said. “I think this is the confidence boost the girls need going into the first round of the district tournament on Monday. Makayla Mastin, Bree Edwards, Mikaela Moore, and Roslyn Valentine each scored one goal. We were also excited to celebrate our seniors this evening at our senior night ceremony. Our seniors are Madelyn Evans, Taryn Reed, Eliza Mills, and Breeanne Edwards.”

The win improved North Laurel to 5-5-1 overall, and marked the first time the Lady Jaguars had won consecutive games since beginning the season with two wins.
