Bell County’s Daniel Thomas was unstoppable once again, running for more than 200 yards while rushing for three touchdowns during the Bobcats’ 28-7 win over Rockcastle County.
The Bobcats (5-1) are winners four straight, and will travel to play Garrard County next Friday.
Thomas continued his impressive season by exploding through the line with a 59-yard touchdown run. Bell County added the two-point conversion while pushing its lead to 8-0 at the 4:30 mark.
The Bobcats continues to puns away at the Rockets with their ground game, and this time around, Dawson Woolum found paydirt (9:13 remaining in the first half) with a four-yard touchdown run. They failed to add the two-point conversion as their lead grew to 14-0.
Bell County’s ground attack continued to dominate in the second half, picking up where it left off as Thomas broke free for a 70-yard touchdown to give his team a 21-0 cushion with 4:14 left in the third quarter.
Thomas added his third rushing touchdown four minutes later, breaking through the line for a 49-yard touchdown run as the Bobcats’ lead grew to 28-0 with 40 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Rockcastle County added a touchdown late in the fourth quarter but the damage had already been done.
