North Laurel’s Taylor Allen, Lynn Camp’s Abby Mabe shine during Daviess County Invitational

North Laurel’s Taylor Allen, and Lynn Camp’s Abby Mabe turned heads during Saturday’s Daviess Classic Invitational Girls’ Varsity 5K race.

With more than 200 student-athletes running in the event Allen placed second overall with a school record time of 19:02.4 while Mabe set a school record as well with an 11th place finish in a time of 19:57.1.

North Laurel placed third overall behind South Warren (71 points) and Daviess County (109) with 132 points while Lynn Camp placed 18th out of 24 teams with 437 points.

Williamsburg finished 13th overall with 370 points. Emaly Powers finished 70th with a time of 22:36.5 while Ryan Fields (89th, 23:18.7), Abbigail Jackson (90th, 23:22.0), Emma Moore (94th, 23:27.3), Tatum Croley (104th, 23:49.1), and Emma Meadors (133rd, 24:59.1) followed.

Also running for the Lady Jaguars were Sianna Sizemore (29th, 20:40.4), Riley Vickers (31st, 20:51.0), Haiden Moses (41st, 21:14.3), McKinley Mastin (49th, 21:42.6), and Kinlee Krueger (66th, 22:26.5).

Also running for the Lady Wildcats were Madison Weymers (110th, 24:00.7), Lindsey Cox (113th, 24:02.5), Lauren Partin (123rd, 24:17.1), and Cambree Prewitt (192nd, 19:23.3).
