The Corbin Redhounds lost so much talent from last year’s team from graduation and transfer. Then they were hit with some early season injuries. What did they do? Well they rolled their sleeves up and went to work. Coach Tom Greer and his coaching staff may have a special group of student athletes in position to do something that hasn’t been done in the 13th Region since 2008, win a state championship. If you don’t believe me, look at the RPI.
We have been talking about how good Corbin has been. How about our Fan Vote that has been really good also. Before we start crunching some numbers, I would like to take a minute to thank everyone who takes the time to cast a vote. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have anything to write about. So let’s get started.
Facebook went 7-1 this week, only missing the Williamsburg/Harlan game. The Corbin/Knox Central game got 225 votes wow! Twitter was perfect going 8-0, The Corbin/Knox Central and Whitley Co./Southwestern games led the vote with 25 apiece.
With the regular season quickly coming to an end, it is becoming desperation time for Facebook. Out of 78 games, Twitter has picked 67 right, and Facebook has picked 62. Just remember get out and vote, your vote matters
We had a lot of really good games this week to talk about. Corbin flexes their muscles, Bell County is in cruise control in their district, Williamsburg reminds us to not forget about them, and many more storylines. If you want the full stories of these games or any of our other games involving 13th Region teams, check out our website 13thregionmedianetwork.com. Any Given Friday.
