L4 SECURITY 13TH REGION MEDIA NETWORK VOLLBALL WEEK 8 RANKINGS: Lady Redhounds remain on top

1. Corbin (16-8 overall, 12-2 vs. 13th Region opponents)

With only one week of regular season play remaining, the Lady Redhounds have been tested the past two weeks by participating in two weekend tournaments that will have them ready for postseason play.

2. Whitley County (16-13, 9-2)

The Lady Colonels have played one heck of a schedule which will have them prepared for postseason play. They finish regular season play this week with matches against Jackson County, Rockcastle County and Wayne County.

3. North Laurel (21-11, 11-3)

The Lady Jaguars are winners of four straight and look to carry the momentum over into next week’s 49th District Tournament.

4. Bell County (20-8, 16-2)

The Lady Bobcats saw their win streak come to an end but remain red-hot after winning the Lady Bobcat Classic. They are 13-1 in their last 14 games.

5. South Laurel (4-9, 3-5)

The Lady Cardinals snapped a six-game losing skid after defeating Williamsburg in five sets. 

6. Williamsburg (11-16, 9-9)

The Lady Yellow Jackets move up to their highest ranking of the season after a 3-0 win over Knox Central.

7 Harlan County (8-9, 8-5)

The Lady Black Bears saw their three-game win streak come to an end but they remain a much-improved team.

8 Knox Central (14-8, 12-8)

The Lady Panthers are 4-4 during their last eight games with all four losses coming against regional teams. 

9. Barbourville (8-16, 8-13)

The Lady Tigers caught fire two weeks ago, but now have lost three in a row.

10. (tie) Jackson County (9-13, 7-4)

The Lady Generals move into the Top 10 but are still searching for more consistency.

The Lady Mountain Lions have been off for more than a week but look to finish regular season play string this week.
