It’s crazy to even say that basketball season is here but here we are.
There’s so many things to look forward to.
Will North repeat as region champs?
Will Harlan County take the crown?
There is just so much to talk about.
The obvious question is if North Laurel will repeat as Region champs? The early answer is yes because we’ve not seen the other teams yet but that answer could change later on in the season.
Which teams will be a dark horse and surprise people?
One of those teams is Whitley County. The Colonels are led by point guard Ashton Reynolds, who is a heck of an athlete and can score the ball anytime down the court. Another team to keep you’re eye on as always is the Redhounds down in Corbin.
Coach Tony Pietrowski always has his kids ready especially when the calendar turns to the month of March. I expect Corbin to be competitive as always and make a run come March.
It’s still VERY early but what are you’re thoughts? Do we see South Laurel make a run? Williamsburg? This is what the 13th Region is all about!
