Corbin’s district dominance continued as the Redhounds moved one step closer to another district crown with a convincing 63-0 win over Lincoln County at home Friday.
Quarterback Kade Elam had another big game, throwing three touchdowns while Cameron Combs rushed for more than a 100 yards and found the end zone twice.
Tom Greer’s squad is now 8-0 overall, and 2-0 in district play.
Corbin jumped out to a 7-0 advantage thanks to a 14-yard touchdown run by Zander Curry, giving his team a 7-0 edge with 8:35 remaining in the first quarter.
The Redhound defense took charge on Lincoln County’s ensuing drive, as Aiden Mason recovered a fumble in the end zone to give his team a 14-0 lead at the 6:45 mark of the first quarter.
Cameron Combs added a 21-yard touchdown run two minutes later to push Corbin’s lead to 21-0 while Kade Elam hit Brody Wells with a five-yard touchdown pass to make the score, 28-0, with 2:52 left in the first quarter.
Combs added his second rushing touchdown with 10:36 left in the second quarter after breaking free with a 57-yard touchdown run while giving his team a 35-0 advantage.
A 47-yard touchdown pass from Elam to Marc Warren extended Corbin’s edge to 42-0 at the 9:26 mark of the second quarter.
Elam’s third touchdown pass of the game, a 46-yarder to Colton Creekmore gave the Redhounds a dominating 49-0 lead at halftime.
Corbin’s lead grew to 63-0 in the fourth quarter after Cole Stevens scored from one yard out and five yards out.
