BACK TO BUSINESS: Corbin moves one step closer to another regional title with three-set win over Williamsburg

It was business as usual for Vanessa Ross’ Corbin Lady Redhound volleyball team, who advanced to the finals of the 50th District Volleyball Tournament by defeating host Williamsburg Monday, 3-0.

Corbin won its third game in a row while improving to 19-9. The loss ended the Lady Yellow Jackets’ season, who finished with a 16-18 mark.

The Lady Redhounds won the first set, 25-12, before reeling off a 25–17 victory in set No. 2. Corbin wrapped up the win with a 25-12 victory in set No. 3.

Ross’ squad will now face off against the winner of Whitley County and South Laurel in Tuesday’s 50th District Tournament title game.

The Lady Redhounds own three victories over the Lady Colonels this season, and two victories over the Lady Cardinals.
