Knox Central captured its fifth 51st District Tournament championship in six years after upending Pineville in Thursday’s title game in four sets.
The Lady Mountain Lions (11-15) won the first set, 25-23, before seeing the Lady Panthers (18-9) capture the final three sets, 25-16, 25-15, and 25-17.
Both teams will advance to next week’s 13th Region Volleyball Tournament at Corbin High School.
