Blue/White game was unique experience

It was a unique event at the Appalachian Wireless arena in Pikeville as thousands of members of Big Blue Nation gathered together for the annual Blue/White game.

Normally the event held at Rupp Arena this year is so unique because of the Kentucky floods that took place nearly three months ago.

All proceeds from this event will go to Kentucky Flood relief. Moments before the even kicked off head coach John Calipari talked to the fans here as he and the team were overwhelmed with the support that Big Blue Nation showed for this event. The Cats are on their quest for their ninth national title- second most of all time behind UCLA who has 11 of them.

This Kentucky team is different than in past years. They have experience and they have depth. Kentucky is led by Savhir Wheeler, Jacob Toppin, CJ Fredrick, Lance Ware. Daimon Collins and Oscar Tshiebwe who all came back for another season. Things to note from the Blue/White game — this team likes to play fast and can get up and down the court in a hurry.

The huge key to Kentucky’s success this season is to stay healthy. As Wheeler, Ware and Tshiebwe all missed action tonight with an injury. What was you’re thoughts of the team after this year’s Blue/White game?
