Lynn Camp repeats as regional champs; Jackson County’s Isabelle Shearer wins individual regional title 

Lynn Canp’s girls’ cross country team repeated as Class A, Region 6 champions with 44 points while Williamsburg finished second with 67 points.

Jackson County’s Isabelle Shearer won the individual championship, edging Lynn Camp’s Abby Mabe with a time of 20:23.93. Mabe finished with a time of 20:54.70.  Lynn Camp’s Lillian Henize (9th, 24:01.59), and Lindsey Cox (10th, 24:02.62) also placed in the top 10 while Williamsburg’s Emaly Powers finished eighth (23:40.99).

Harlan had two runners finish in the top 10, Harper Carmical (6th, 23:29.19), and Chloe Schwenke (7th, 23:34.28).

Red Bird was led by Monica Whitehead, who finished in 23rd place (26:15.24) while Grace Sukplang led Oneida Baptist with a 37th place effort (29:03.18). 

Jackson County (68 points), Harlan (77), Leslie County (99), and Somerset Christian (153) rounded out the participating teams that competed for the team regional crown.
