David Halcomb’s Whitley County Lady Colonels advanced to semifinal action of the 13th Region Volleyball Tournament by defeating Pineville in three sets on Monday.
The Lady Colonels (22-14) ran their win streak to six games by defeating the Lady Mountain Lions (11-16), 25-9, 25-12, and 25-14.
Whitley County will be back in action during Wednesday’s semifinal play against the winner of North Laurel and Bell County.
The Lady Colonels are 2-0 against North Laurel this season but haven’t played the Lady Bobcats.
